L.I.F.E. Academy is a school for children with special needs.
MISSION STATEMENT
Using the philosophical Best Practice, L.I.F.E. will maintain a facility where a child with special needs can experience a loving and nurturing atmosphere while developing their fullest potential.
VISION STATEMENT
L.I.F.E.'s private school is a place where each and every child is considered an individual. L.I.F.E. educators approach each one of their unique needs as such. It is our greatest hope to create a place where each child's needs - socially, emotionally and/or academically - can be addressed and supported on a individual basis. We hope never to see one of our students being "fit" into a classroom, but rather to have a classroom fit them.

L.I.F.E. addresses the following developmental areas:
Cognition - By using the main elements of structured teaching we create an atmosphere that enable each student to achieve their highest potential.
Communication - By means of a total communication approach, language is encouraged and fostered thorough verbal communication, manual communication and picture/symbol cards.
Self-Help - Improvements in self-help skills can lead to increased independence for children with special needs. Not only can such self-help gains affect self-esteem, but can also allow a child to be more fully integrated into classroom settings and interactions with peers.
Socialization - Play provides a framework from which relationships with peers and adults are established and nurtured. Play is presented in a structured and supportive way.
Motor Skills - From learning to hold a writing utensil to discovering the joy in playing ball, children are challenged to improve their motor skills at a a pace which is appropriate for their present level of functioning.
